Emergence of new technologies in 1960th allowed Art to brake preconceived mold of storytelling and practice. The nature of New Media art and emergent technologies allowed artists to go beyond standard narrative and to combine mediums in non traditional forms. This however caused challenges for curators and collectors. What is the object of art? How is it archived? And to be frank, what can collectors buy?

Even now there is no consensus on this subject. Museums and Archives still operate within their own guidelines, some places like New Museum, Whitney Museum and ZetkaM are trying to solve these issues. But there still many issues. Consider this.
